Slick hard-packed track made riding tough
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (INTELLIHUB) — Round 7 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross was a tough one on the riders for sure.
The hard-packed track was slick in areas and soft in others where riders roosted through to the stadium floor in select tight corners making it difficult for riders to find their groove.
Supercross star James Bubba Stewart’s little brother Malcom Stewart, no. 47, Suzuki, Florida, said that he was ‘feeling confident’ Saturday night ahead of the 450SX main, but only managed to come up with an 11th place finish just ahead of Dean Wilson, no. 15, Husqvarna, Florida.
On a good note, M. Stewart also said that his brother James may return to race Daytona and hype up the crowd.
Eli Tomac, no. 3, Kawasaki, Colorado, rode his way to a 1st place podium win Saturday night in the 450SX Main Event.
