It’s a spin on a 19th-century painting called “The Birth of the Flag”

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (INTELLIHUB) — It doesn’t get any stranger than this. An artist by the name of Illma Gore got about 50 donors together to collect enough human blood for her latest collaboration titled “Rise Up Thy Young Blood”.

“Blood is similar to watercolors. It smells a little weird. It’s very metallic like iron,” Gore said in an interview with CNN.

“I would say it’s anti-racism, anti-divisiveness, it’s anti-bigotry, it’s anti-not listening people, except for coming together and saying we are here and we will do anything.”
