(INTELLIHUB) — A CSX train traveling to Detroit from Chicago that was carrying a large surplus of “commercial grade” fireworks was robbed this week and investigators say at least 32 cases of the dangerous explosives are missing.
Right now the ATF and Detroit police are taking the case seriously and are hunting for the perpetrators over a swath of three states.
Media outlets have also eluded that more than 500 pounds of the explosives may have went missing.
A loose case of explosives was found in a Detroit rail yard which tipped off investigators to the robbery.
