Bullet proof backpacks a must for U.S. school kids now?

It's a sad day in America when parents feel they have to equip their school kids with bulletproof backpacks in the classroom

Parents of school kids across the United States have come to terms with the threats and dangers of school shootings and are now purchasing bulletproof backpacks for their children to feel safe in today’s classroom environment.

An Israeli company named Masada Armour is producing the fashionable packs and can hardly keep up with consumer demand.

The backpacks stop handgun and high-powered rifle bullets such as those fired from AR-15 or AK-47 platforms.

Additionally, Masada Armour’s backpacks can be outfitted with steel plates to add protection.

The backpacks weigh approximately 6.6 pounds stock and boast a price tag of about $700 which apparently isn’t causing parents to flinch one bit.

The backpack is designed for regular student use, to carry books, laptop, and other staff. The vest part is closed in a separate section of the backpack and it cannot be seen at the daily use of the backpack.

The product weighs less than 3kg’.
