A day late and a buck short: CNN finally admits Donald Trump was right when he said his team was “wiretapped”

(INTELLIHUB) — In what can only be described as a total flip-flop, CNN has now admitted that “U.S. investigators wiretapped former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort under secret court orders before and after the election.”

The report says that former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort was, in fact, wiretapped as part of an investigation which spanned from 2016 into 2017.

According to the report: “Some of the intelligence collected includes communications that sparked concerns among investigators that Manafort had encouraged the Russians to help with the campaign, according to three sources familiar with the investigation. Two of these sources, however, cautioned that the evidence is not conclusive.”

The investigation was discontinued for a lack of evidence.
