GRANT COUNTY, Wash. (INTELLIHUB) — Gavin Seim, a private citizen, is back at it again, raising awareness by holding police accountable under state law while filming it.

“Good afternoon sir”, Seim addressed a uniformed police officer after pulling him over on a public roadway, camera rolling in hand.

“The reason I stopped you today is because I felt this car was unmarked. Is this a registered unmarked vehicle for undercover work?”, Seim asked the officer as he starred back at Siem like a deer in headlights.

Seim then asked the officer for his name and I.D.. just before the officer asked Seim: ‘Is this some type of game?’

“This isn’t a game it’s called law”, Seim told the officer who eventually showed his I.D. to Seim.

At one point during the encounter the officer smiled. Siem acknowledged the officers smile.

“You are in open violation of Washington State RCWs” […] “Do you understand the safety concern?” […] “If you continue doing this you can be arrested.”, Seim explained to the officer. The cop then questioned Seim with a dumbfounded expression on his face: “I can be arrested for driving an unmarked car?”, he asked.”For driving an illegal vehicle and refusing to comply.”, Seim explained, going on to tell the officer how police need to be held accountable.”It’s not petty to hold our police accountable”, Seim explained after the encounter.
