DALLAS — Five students of L.L. Hotchkiss Elementary School who came in contact with a man confirmed to be infected with the deadly Ebola virus are now being quarantined inside their homes for at least 21 days as the community prepares for the worst.
As of now the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Dallas, is said to have personnel working on the matter, “boots on the ground”. However, despite the CDC’s reassurance, some parents of children who attend L.L. Hotchkiss Elementary School were reported to have panicked, removing their kids from the school immediately after the official school announcement, which according to the Star-Telegram was brief and merely read:
“This morning, we were made aware that one of our students may have had contact with an individual who was recently diagnosed with the Ebola virus. This student is currently not showing any symptoms and is under close observation by the Dallas County Health and Human Services Department. As a precautionary measure, the student has been advised to stay home from school. Since this student is not presenting any symptoms, there is nothing to suggest that the disease was spread to others, including students and staff.”
Moreover, an ambulance which carried the infected man to back to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital after mistakenly releasing him into the general populace last Friday was also reported to have been taken out of commission. The crew of the ambulance was also subsequently quarantined under protocol provisions.
Meanwhile, Texas Governor Rick Perry tried to contain fears of a new outbreak, stating during a press conference Wednesday:
“I know that parents are being extremely concerned. Let me assure you these children have been identified and they are being monitored [...] the disease can not be transmitted before having any symptoms”.
Although some aren’t too sure about the Governor’s statements and question Perry’s knowledge of the virus which he repeatedly referred to as a “disease” all throughout Wednesday’s press conference.
“There are few places in the world better equipped to meet this challenge that is posed in this case. Texas is one of only 13 states certified by the CDC to conduct diagnostic Ebola testing [...] The public should have every confidence that the highly trained professionals involved here will succeed with their mission.”, Perry went on.
But all of this still has some questioning how the CDC is so sure that they contained the only case in the U.S. as reported by Bloomberg.
So what now?
If Ebola spreads in the U.S. beyond this first known unnamed victim, martial law provisions will likely ensue, Executive Orders will be enacted and forced quarantines may soon become a reality.
In fact to top it all off, Infowars.com just reported how funeral homes have been warned about how to handle corpses infected with the Ebola virus. And as you may know after, mass graves have already been put in place for citizenry in virtually every state across the U.S. under pandemic preparedness and mass casualty contention plans as I exposed on the Alex Jones Show on March 25, 2009.
