(INTELLIHUB) — Credible information obtained from law enforcement sources regarding NSA spying on individual Americans has revealed that popular alternative news personality Alex Jones was under dragnet surveillance for at least a year and most likely much longer, according to a report by Infowars reporter Jerome Corsi.
According to Corsi, the sections of the dragnet database were provided to him by Michael Zullo who was formerly the commander and chief investigator of Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse.
The electronic surveillance database, first obtained in 2013, was a part of the NSA’s illegal Project Dragnet surveillance of U.S. citizens that was revealed in 2005 and confirmed in the wake of the Edward Snowden leaks.
Obviously the information in the database that is the most news worthy is the fact that Donald Trump and his associates were widely targeted under the dragnet program but it is also important to highlight the fact that we now know that at least one popular personality within the alternative media was directly targeted by the intelligence community.
As Corsi noted, Alex Jones is listed within the database as under surveillance for phone and financial records in the year 2006. Both the address and phone number listed have been confirmed as belonging to Jones.
During his Sunday radio show, Jones claimed that they even had the address of a location where he sometimes does “secret broadcasts” from. “My private cell phone number, our little shadow office, its all in there, Jones shockingly revealed before going on to note that the article was released early over security concerns his team had ran into over the last week.
Although the documents were provided by a whistle-blower whose past motivations have been called into question, it seems highly unlikely that both Zullo and Corsi would release this information if they were not positive it was authentic. Keep in mind that information released by shady individuals is not necessary wrong or fake which seems to be the case here.
“While Montgomery’s credibility has been called into question, Zullo maintains that the amount of information provided by Montgomery related to Operation Dragnet was extraordinarily voluminous and that Montgomery had shared information with investigators in 2013 that is only now being revealed by media outlets,” Corsi wrote.
It is also important to note, especially considering the fact that the establishment media is sure to both attack the whistleblower’s credibility as well as pretend that the dragnet surveillance doesn’t exist, that multiple news outlets have already conclusively confirmed the existence of the NSA spying program as well as its use in “parallel construction” by state and federal law enforcement agencies.
“A secretive U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration unit is funneling information from intelligence intercepts, wiretaps, informants and a massive database of telephone records to authorities across the nation to help them launch criminal investigations of Americans,” Reuters revealed in 2013.
“Although these cases rarely involve national security issues, documents reviewed by Reuters show that law enforcement agents have been directed to conceal how such investigations truly begin – not only from defense lawyers but also sometimes from prosecutors and judges.”
Now, thanks to patriotic law enforcement sources, we know that this NSA spying was also used to target legitimate news media outlets as well as the future president of the Untied States.
