FBI now investigating Bergdahl family threats, report says

Apparently people are not receiving U.S. Army deserter Bergdahl’s release and trade deal with open arms

(INTELLIHUB) — A firestorm ensues regarding the recent release and exchange of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl for five other high-profile terrorists as some Americans, including Gen. James Mattis who was recently interviewed on CNN’s State of the Union with Candy Crowley, have said that “deserting your post in a time war is punishable by death”.

During the broadcast, Gen. Mattis said, “I don’t want to discuss that aspect”, when questioned about recent nature of the threats that the Bergdahl family has undergone, continuing on to say, “the FBI and police are taking the threats seriously”. The General then went on to show sympathy for the family of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

CNN, offering a little more detail on the subject, reported:

“We are working jointly with our state and local partners and taking each threat seriously,” FBI Special Agent William Facer told CNN in an e-mail on Saturday.

Facer declined to detail the nature and severity of the threats, and a military spokesperson for the Bergdahls declined to comment.

“Most of us got over judging people by the length of their hair in about 1975 in this country”, Gen. Mattis stated, referring to comments made about how Sgt. Bowe’s fathers beard looks Islamic.

The threats appear to be serious.
