Female active shooter who attacked at YouTube H.Q. may have had a grudge against the video-sharing site

"Do I look good in a hijab?"

SAN BRUNO, Calif. (INTELLIHUB) — The female active shooter who stormed YouTube headquarters with a handgun and opened fire wounding three people on Tuesday has been identified as Nasim Najafi Aghdam, 39.

The deranged woman who was also pictured wearing a hijab on one website may have had a grudge against the video platform for censorship and revenue issues, reports say.

The 39-year-old Iranian vegan and animal rights activist said in a January 2017 video that she was “discriminated and filtered” the YouTube.

NBC Bay Area reports:

On her personal webpage, she posted another rant about YouTube saying, “Be aware…there is no free speech in real world and you will be suppressed for telling the truth that is not supported by the system. Videos of targeted users are filtered and merely relegated, so that people can hardly see their videos.” Aghdam also quotes Adolf Hitler, saying, “Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.”

Aghdam’s Instagram account displays a March 25 post which asks: “Do I look good in a hijab?”

Additionally, the woman posted a video on Instagram with a caption reading: “What do you think of freedom of speech and does it really exist in western countries?”

Reports say that Aghdam may have controlled at least three YouTube channels, including one in Farsi.

Law enforcement officials are claiming the attack was likely due to a domestic dispute.

Aghdam’s family was not that cooperative with authorities, reports say.
