(INTELLIHUB) — Attorney Rudy Giuliani feels that the U.S. will hold the upper hand at Tuesday’s summit in Singapore after the North Korean leader caved following President Donald Trump’s initial cancellation.

Kim Jong-un begged “on his hands and knees” for the summit, Giuliani maintained while speaking at a Globes investment conference in Israel.

“They also said they were going to go to nuclear war with us, they were going to defeat us in a nuclear war,” he said. “We said we’re not going to have a summit under those circumstances.”

After President Trump canceled the meeting, Giuliani said: “Well, Kim Jong-un got back on his hands and knees and begged for it, which is exactly the position you want to put him in.”

Withal, it appears that Jong-un genuinely wants to move forward with strengthening U.S./North Korea relations which could bring an economic shift to the poor communist nation. However, some experts feel the negotiations will not come without cost and may include backdoor deals between China and North Korea.
