Hillary’s team met with the Russian Ambassador too and failed to disclose it

Russian Ambassador’s favoritism toward Trump shot down after Kremlin discloses the ambassador met with Clinton’s people too

(INTELLIHUB) — A spokesman for Russian President Vladamir Putin told the press Sunday that the same Russian Ambassador that met with Trump Campaign officials before the election is exact same Ambassador who also met with Hillary Clinton’s people leading up to the election.

Putin’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria that Russian Ambassador, Sergey Kislyak met with people from both campaigns as part of his job to help “bilateral relations.”

“The more he [the ambassador] talks to people […] the better job he does.”

Peskov said that in no way were these meetings intended to interfere with the U.S. electoral system, but reiterated that they did, in fact, take place and that the ambassador met with “people working in think tanks advising Hillary or advising people working for Hillary.”

“Well, if you look at some people connected with Hillary Clinton during her campaign, you would probably see that he had lots of meetings of that kind,” the spokesman said.

“But there were no meetings about elections — electoral process” on either side, Peskov made it clear.

“The candidate Hillary Clinton was quite negative about our country in her attitude and in her program, declaring Russia being nearly the main evil in the world and the main threat for the United States. […] The fact that Russia is being demonized in that sense comes very strange to us.”

The Kremlin’s announcement poses big problems politically for Hillary Clinton whose supporters originally claimed that the controversy surrounding Trump campaigners meeting the ambassador was not about them meeting with the ambassador himself but was rather about them not disclosing such meetings publically which is exactly what Clinton did not do.

According to a Mar 13. report in the Chicago Tribune, Clinton campaign officials essentially told Foreign Policy that “no one from the secretary of state’s campaign met with Kislyak or any other Russian official, nor had any intention of doing so” — which now appears to be an outright lie, assuming that Peskov is telling the truth.
