Scientists are now playing God by creating half human half animal chimeras.
(INTELLIHUB) — Japanese geneticist Hiromitsu Nakauchi will be heading up a team of scientists that will be growing human-animal hybrids, a.k.a. chimeras, in a laboratory as science-fiction truly becomes science fact.
Scientists will be conducting the dastardly experiment at the University of Tokyo where they will be splicing human genes with those of animals as covered in Greek mythology.
The term “chimera” has come to describe any mythical or fictional animal with parts taken from various animals, or to describe anything composed of very disparate parts, or perceived as wildly imaginative, implausible, or dazzling.
From Merriam-Webster Dictonary:
1a capitalized : a fire-breathing she-monster in Greek mythology having a lion’s head, a goat’s body, and a serpent’s tail
b : an imaginary monster compounded of incongruous parts
2 : an illusion or fabrication of the mind especially : an unrealizable dream
a fancy, a chimera in my brain, troubles me in my prayer — John Donne
His utopia was a chimera.
3 : an individual, organ, or part consisting of tissues of diverse genetic constitution
A hybrid created through fusion of a sperm and an egg from different species is a chimera.
The recent scientific development should raise concern amongst the populace.
