Mass shooting at Jacksonville video game tournament

Details are still culminating after at least one gunman opened fire at a "Madden 19' video game tournament in Jacksonville, Florida on Sunday


Two people were shot dead and nine others were wounded inside a Jacksonville, Florida, pizzeria that was hosting an Electronic Arts ‘Madden 19’ video game tournament on Sunday.

Police say one suspect David Katz, 24, is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound around 1:30 p.m.

Shortly after 2 p.m., the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Department tweeted the following warning to citizens in the area: “Mass shooting at the Jacksonville Landing. Stay far away from the area. The area is not safe at this time. STAY AWAY”

One videogamer who was hit in the thumb by a flying bullet described the event as the “worst day” of his life.

“I am literally so lucky. The bullet hit my thumb,” he tweeted.
