ATLANTA (INTELLIHUB) — A woman was viciously dragged off of a public sidewalk across the asphalt and onto a public roadway near Woodruff Park on Thursday before she was forcefully hogtied by a muscle-bound cop as a WXIA-TV 11 reporter captured the entire scene on video.
During the confrontation, several other pro-immigration protesters could be seen in the video being snatched out of the crowd by angry police who instructed the crowd to “keep moving” and one officer was even captured on tape trying to intimidate the 11Alive.com reporter which pushed him to assert his rights.
“So, I’m press and they are telling me I can’t be here,” the reporter explained.
When the reporter asked for several of the officers to identify themselves by their “name and assignment number,” the officers refused to comply to his request.
Police went on to physically disperse people from the area.
Six people were arrested.
