New Ebola threat emerges

(INTELLIHUB) — World Health Organization officials have declared a new Ebola epidemic in the Republic of Congo Friday after three people have died.

At least one of those three people were confirmed to have the deadly virus.

On Friday the W.H.O. tweeted: “On 11 May 2017, the Min of Health of the Democratic Republic of the Congo notified WHO & partners of a lab-confirmed case of .

Although the case was in a remote region, officials are taking the threat seriously which could ultimately lead to a full-scale worldwide pandemic.
