New scientific breakthrough: Babies grown in labs?

Will humans soon be grown in labs?

The Japanese have now found a way to create human egg cells from blood using a new stem cell science.

Although the breakthrough cannot produce a full term baby at this time it looks as if scientists are not that far away from achieving test tube humans.

The Daily Star reports:

The team made the egg cells by using blood to create induced pluripotent stem cells, which were then inserted into artificial ovaries.

It is thought that in the future, this technique could allow infertile people to have children, as well as same-sex couples to have kids that come from both people’s DNA.
