Officials conducted a parole hearing for former NFL star O.J. Simpson Thursday, in Carson City, Nevada, where they made their final decision

CARSON CITY (INTELLIHUB) — A Nevada parole board convened in a hearing Thursday to discuss whether or not the former football running-back will be released from prison for a 2007 kidnapping and armed robbery which took place in a Las Vegas hotel.

The former NFL star, nicknamed “The Juice,” along with his lawyer, attended the 1 p.m. hearing from the Lovelock Correctional Center via a video conference where four committee members in Carson City granted him parole on time served for weapons charges.

Toward the end of the hearing one of the victims in the case testified in favor of Simpson which drew an emotional response from the former NFL star.
