CALIFORNIA (INTELLIHUB) — A new terror plot, threatening unnamed parts of the state, is now being investigated by FBI counter-terrorism officials as the clock ticks.
Security in the region has been beefed up after chatter was intercepted by U.S. intelligence officials who claim the impending threat may not even be “aviation-related”, reports CNN.
The TSA issued a classified warning to employees on Friday and Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR) teams have been assigned to specific transportation hubs throughout the U.S.., as reported by WND.
Additionally the Electronic System for Travel Authorization has also stepped up security measures with additional screenings for any inbound air or sea travelers departing to America from abroad.
