C.I.A. funded terror group hacks Pentagon social media accounts terrorizing U.S. military
Twitter suspended the account likely per the Pentagon’s request shortly after the threats emerged publicly.
“Later messages included images of what were apparently spreadsheets labeled as containing the contact info and home addresses of retired U.S. army generals, reported CNBC.
The @centcom Twitter account was hacked around 1:09 p.m. EST while the YouTube channel was hacked around 1:30 p.m. EST.
Two new videos were uploaded to the U.S. Central Command’s YouTube channel, titled “Flames of War ISIS Video” and “O Soldiers of Truth Go Forth”, before the account was terminated by YouTube upon the Pentagon’s request.
While the accounts are not classified, something is clearly brewing.
One chilling message posted by ISIS on the @centcom Twitter account read, “American soldiers, we are coming, watch your back”.
Another read, “We won’t stop until we know everything about you, your wives, your children”.
We will have more information as details develop.
