(INTELLIHUB) — Protesters burned the Elk Fountain statue, a.k.a. David P. Thomps on Monument, Wednesday night as N.W.A.’s 1998 rap hit Fuck the Police played in the backdrop.

The statue of Cervus Canadensis, located in the City of Portland Plaza Blocks, was set ablaze by out of control hooligans who gathered to watch the wapiti burn.

The Post Millennial editor Andy Ngô Tweeted: “Around 200 #antifa & far-left militant protesters have descended on the Portland Justice Center tonight. They tore off the wood protecting the building windows and have started fires.”

“The elk statue in downtown Portland is now fully engulfed in flames. #antifa.”

The statue was put into place at the fountain in the year 1900 and cost $20,000 at the time.
