In a most interesting story, it appears that marijuana may be able to help animals suffering from cancers as well

LOS ANGELES (INTELLIHUB) — It is now widely known by alternative medical professionals that marijuana has many healing aliments. In fact, CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta even is starting to cover the issue which has been hidden from the masses for a long time.

A lot of research out there actually shows that marijuana can effectively be used for cancer treatment. But what about treating pets with cancer?

One dog owner has done just that.

Miles, a 12-year-old Labrador retriever mix, was slowly dying of cancer. His owner, after seeing the effect that narcotic painkillers such as tramadol were having on Miles, decided to try something else: medical marijuana.

Within hours of taking a tincture of marijuana from a medical pot dispensary in Los Angeles, Miles’ appetite returned, he stopped vomiting and began walking and running around. “It couldn’t have been a coincidence,” his owner told the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association., read an excerpt published in Discovery News.

It will be interesting to see which direction all of this goes as technologies are ever-advancing.
