MOSCOW (INTELLIHUB) — In a rather interesting public Q and A session organized by RT, Russian President Vladimir Putin responded to a live question taken from an American who lives in Mesa, Arizona.

“What advise would you give me to help my countrymen understand that Russia is not the enemy?” The American asked the Russian President.

Putin responded to the young lad by explaining that Russia does not consider the U.S. an enemy.

“[…] twice in history, as we know, when things were particularly hard, we united forces and were allies in both wars.” Putin explained. “The Russian Empire, in its time, played a significant part of supporting the U.S. during the war for independence. We do see the Russiaphobia that’s developing in the U.S. but consider it a result of the inner-political rivalry that’s taking place there.”

“We know that we have a lot of friends in the U.S.,” he said.
