Sharpton’s push for Department of Justice takeover aligns with President Obama’s past call for a Civilian National Security Force
By Alex Thomas
Calling for the Justice Department to “take over policing in this country,” Sharpton announced a plan to march on Washington in order to push for a government takeover of the police. In an open admission of a plan to sidestep the Constitution, Sharpton mentioned the police takeover could only happen if supporters fight against states rights.
“We need the Justice Department to step in and take over policing in this country. In the 20th century, they had to fight states’ rights in — to get the right to vote. We’re going to have to fight states’ rights in terms of closing down police cases.”
Calls for a federal takeover align with previous comments made by Obama when he was originally running for president in 2008. In a widely seen clip, then candidate Obama openly calls for a new civilian national security force.
“We have got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, and just as well-funded.”
Interestingly, the globalist run Rand Corporation has already conducted a detailed study into what an establishment of a national police force would include. A 2010 article by the New American detailed the study:
The RAND Corporation is the establishment’s go-to think tank for the pseudo-scientific justification for both the planned and perfidious expansion of government and the corresponding contraction of liberty.
The latest RAND report, prepared at the behest (and on the dime) of the United States Army, is over 200 impenetrable pages long and proclaims loudly the urgent need for a “Stability Police Force (SPF).”
It should shock no one that the RAND Corporation’s suggestions include relieving the Army of its police role. The Army’s budget is tight (to the point of reportedly sending troops into harm’s way outfitted with troop transports that are little more than assembly-line jeeps), the global deployments in furtherance of the spread of American hegemony and empire have stretched thin the available corps of soldiers, and the consistent policy of subsequent presidential administrations is to steadily send surge after surge to the front lines of the “war on terror.”
According to the text of the 213-page study, entitled A Stability Police Force for the United States: Justification and Options for Creating U.S. Capabilities, an SPF “is a high-end police force that engages in a range of tasks such as crowd and riot control, special weapons and tactics (SWAT), and investigations of organized criminal groups.”
The authors of the report affirm that they have but one goal: present evidence for why (or why not) an American SPF is necessary. Again, in the immortal words of Watergate-informant “Deep Throat” to Woodward and Bernstein: “Follow the money.” In this case, the Army funded the study and the report’s conclusions seem foregone.
The RAND Corporation’s pedigree and preference renders its findings less than revelatory, as well. The study goes on and on attempting to coat its government-expanding agenda in a patina of urgency, but despite the academic meanderings, the paper ends where you imagine it would, with a plan for the establishment of a new domestic, federal police force to respond to worldwide calamities and conflicts.
Although the force called for by RAND wouldn’t be big enough to police the entire country, the fact that this has already been studied and promoted shows this is a very real possibility.
Over the last few years the federal government themselves have helped turn police departments across the country into miniature military units through multiple Pentagon programs that passed along military equipment to the police. The federal government is literally one of the main reasons why policing in America has become such a problem yet the hard left now wants to hand total federal control over to this same government.
Remember, the Department of Justice is run by the attorney general who is chosen by the President. A takeover of police by the DOJ would literally give whoever is the president their own police force. Sharptons plan would essentially hand the elected president full control over the country, complete with their own police department to direct how he or she pleases. In other words, it would turn the President into a military type dictator.
Getting rid of local police departments in the United States would also pave the way for a global police force, based in Hague with the power to police citizens in any country they chose. This is the open and public blueprint for global enslavement and we are now being given a first class ticket to its beginning.
