Shock: Capitol Police went to Nancy Pelosi’s home instead of the site of Scalise Shooting

Elite tactical team was directed to respond to the wrong location

(INTELLIHUB) —  An elite tactical team with The U.S. Capitol Police department was initially directed to the wrong location after the shooting at a GOP congressional baseball practice that left House Majority Whip Steve Scalise fighting for his life.

According to a report in Bloomberg, as well as statements by police, officers were somehow directed to the Georgetown home of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi before realizing their mistake and eventually making it to the actual place were the shooting occurred.

“The Alexandria incident continues to be an ongoing investigation. We do not comment on ongoing investigations,” a Capitol Police spokesperson told Bloomberg News.

“The tactical squad did make it to the Eugene Simpson Stadium Park in Alexandria, Virginia, where the shooting took place and it’s unclear how much time the unit lost because of the mix-up. It also wasn’t clear whether the squad arrived at Pelosi’s house or was redirected en route,” the Bloomberg reported continued.

“Investigators are still reviewing how and why the initial misdirection occurred. One possibility being reviewed is a transponder mix-up, or a transponder code being used for the wrong congressional leader, said the people familiar with the events.”

That’s right, you literally can’t make this stuff up. Police ended up at noted anti-Trump critic Nancy Pelosi’s home while GOP representatives were being shot at.

Nothing to see here right?
