Homemade ‘bucket bomb’ flames up on London subway sending 18 people to the hospital in what authorities are calling a terror attack

LONDON (INTELLIHUB) — There is a live manhunt underway in the city as authorities search for the person suspected of planting a bucket bomb on a subway train Friday which exploded into a fiery ball sending 18 people to the hospital burns and bruises.

The explosion took place at Parsons Green subway station during the height of rush hour when commuters were most vulnerable.

The Prime Minister is treating the event as a terror incident.

As of yet Scotland Yard has not announced the name of any suspect or suspects.

“[There were] just hoards of people and the stampede already started running towards me,” one man said who was present in the station during the attack. “Within about five-seconds, it was not the place to be.”

Photos of the ignited bucket which once contained a flammable substance confirm that the crude device never fully-exploded but rather spewed flames out the top instead.

The terror threat in the United Kingdom remains at its highest level.
