(INTELLIHUB) — Research released by Deloitte on Thursday reveals that the average net worth of young adults aged 13-35 in the year 2019 is only $8,000 which is far lower than previous generations.

Another report authored by Abha Bhattarai concludes there has been a 34% drop in the net worth of millennials over the last 20-years.

From SF Gate: “The net worth of Americans aged 18 to 35 has dropped 34 percent since 1996, according to research released Thursday by Deloitte, the accounting and professional services giant. This demographic is paying more for education and such basics as food and transportation while incomes have largely flatlined.”

“The vast majority of consumers are under tremendous financial pressure,” Deloitte’s chief retail innovation officer Kasey Lobaugh explained. “That is particularly true for low-income Americans and millennials.”

However, the real truth of the matter is millennials are just simply lazy. In fact, most of them would rather be shut-ins who play Fortnite rather than get a real job.

The following video gives a sneak peek into the life of the average enraged millennial who plays Fortnite online:
