SVALBARD, Norway (INTELLIHUB) — On an icy island off the coast of Norway the world’s ‘Doomsday Vault’ serves as a cold storage for the world’s most precious plants and seeds as a backup encase a catastrophe of great proportions were to wipe out a good portion of life on the planet.

However, the Global Seed Vault is now being expanded to accommodate computer servers and data from various cultures throughout the world.

This comes as tensions and threats of imminent nuclear war are arguably at an all-time high between North Korea, China, and the United States.
