(INTELLIHUB) — National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases head Dr. Anthony S. Fauci admitted on MSNBC on Monday that by definition the coronavirus has already reached pandemic levels.

The doctor’s statement backs up what Intellihub has been reporting for weeks.

“We are dealing with an evolving situation,” the doctor said. “We are dealing with clearly an emerging infectious disease that has now reached outbreak proportions and by and likely pandemic proportions if you look at by what multiple definitions of what a pandemic is the fact is that this is multiple sustained transmissions of a highly infectious agent in multiple regions of the globe.”

Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar said in a White House press briefing on Monday that the situation could change quickly.”

“The degree of risk has the potential to change quickly especially if we see sustained spread of the disease around the world which could qualify this disease as a pandemic,” Azar said.

According to World Health Organization Health Emergencies Director Dr. Michael J. Ryan, once it is admitted that we are in a world pandemic it is like essentially saying there is no hope as all life will become infected.

Ryan admits: “If we don’t take action if we don’t move if we don’t prepare… every human on the planet will be exposed to the virus.”
