Tourism Booms in Mexico as Crime Rises

At the recent G20 Summit (held in Mexico) economic development and the current crime rate was an issue on the table. However, despite the high crime rate Mexico set a tourist record last year of 22 million visitors.

The Mexican tourism economy is booming as mexican state and federal police patrol certain areas to bring in revenue.

There is conflict with reports as some American’s that have relocated to Mexico say they think it is the safest place that they have ever lived.
