Federal transition team officials briefed Biden campaign higher-ups earlier this week informing staffers to prepare for a future announcement regarding Continuity of Government operations that may contain “sensitive information.”.

Transition team members briefed Joe Biden’s senior staffers behind closed doors on Tuesday as a potentially hazardous asteroid dubbed 2011 ES4 skimmed past Earth at a sublunar distance.

“Sept. 1 marks the beginning of a new phase of the presidential transition effort that is quietly taking place behind a backdrop of bitter political warfare between Biden and President Donald Trump,” reports CNBC. “As of Tuesday, the Biden team also receives funding and the right to process security clearances for transition officials.”

The transition team will be working remotely from an unknown location and has offered the Biden campaign office space in an effort to support the current Continuity of Government operations.

“A portion of our work is dedicated to ensuring continuity of government across all federal agencies, including the handling of sensitive information which may require socially distant interaction. Our team is following the direction of public health experts and medical professionals to develop a plan to keep our staff and their families safe.”

— Spokesman, Transition Team

Although the transition team appears to be using COVID-19 as a reason for a future issue to arise it is suspected that something far more disastrous may be headed our way.
