Trump threatens to cut Canada from new NAFTA deal

"There is no political necessity to keep Canada in the new NAFTA deal."

Canada has been abusing the United States for decades when it comes to trade and no one has ever done anything about it. It’s almost as if the Obama Democrats and the Bush administration welcomed the abuse. However, times have changed and we have a new president in Washington.

President Donald J. Trump reached a boiling point on Saturday forcing him to express his real thoughts on just how unfairly the U.S. has been treated by Canada when it comes to trade.

In a two-part tweet, President Trump threatened to exclude Canada from the new NAFTA agreement altogether if compromises are not made.

“There is no political necessity to keep Canada in the new NAFTA deal,” the president tweeted. “If we don’t make a fair deal for the U.S. after decades of abuse, Canada will be out. Congress should not interfere w/ these negotiations or I will simply terminate NAFTA entirely & we will be far better off…”

“….Remember, NAFTA was one of the WORST Trade Deals ever made. The U.S. lost thousands of businesses and millions of jobs. We were far better off before NAFTA – should never have been signed. Even the Vat Tax was not accounted for. We make new deal or go back to pre-NAFTA!”

Were we better off before NAFTA?
