Unarmed Mandalay Bay security guard recovering well from gunshot wound after Paddock fired ‘200 rounds’ through the door

First responder Jesus Campos set to recover after being shot by Stephen Paddock through his hotel room door by a ‘200 round’ volley of fully-automatic machinegun fire

LAS VEGAS (INTELLIHUB) — Mandalay Bay security guard Jesus Campos was struck by one of the alleged shooter’s bullets last Sunday after Stephen Paddock, 64, fired directly through the door of his 32nd-floor suite, down the hallway, in a reported ‘200 round’ volley.

Campos told ABC News on Thursday that he was trying to draw the shooter’s attention away from the crowd when Paddock offloaded ‘200 rounds’ through the door.

The security guard was unarmed at the time but was able to warn staff where the gunfire was coming from.

His bravery saved countless lives.
