US ISS crew to stay overnight with Russian cosmonauts after cooling system glitch



A suspected toxic leak in the US sector of the ISS has forced the American astronauts onboard to isolate their module and stay overnight in the Russian sector. All crewmembers are safe, but an unscheduled spacewalk may be required, Mission Control says.

According to preliminary information from the ISS, the incident was caused by a discharge of ammonia, Interfax reports.

NASA has not yet confirmed ammonia caused the incident, however.
