Call for attacks under cover of darkness came just two weeks before sheriff deputy murder
(INTELLIHUB) — In the days after the shocking murder of Harris County Deputy Darren Goforth many have wondered if the rhetoric coming from certain sections of the Black Lives Matter Movement was at least partially to blame.
According to court documents and media reports, convicted criminal Shannon J. Miles shot Goforth from behind at least 14 times as the deputy was filling his vehicle up with gas at a Houston area Chevron.
Almost immediately the Sheriff whose deputy was murdered in cold blood linked the horrific attack with the Black Lives Matter Movement. While this may seem like hyperbole to some, the fact is certain people protesting under the BLM banner have absolutely called for the murder of police as has their allies in the New Black Panther Party.
CBS News reported on the Sheriffs controversial comments:
Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman said the attack was “clearly unprovoked,” and there is no evidence that Goforth knew Miles. Investigators have no information from Miles that would shed light on his motive, Hickman said.
“Our assumption is that he (Goforth) was a target because he wore a uniform,” the sheriff said.
Hickman and Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson pushed back against the criticism of police.
“We’ve heard Black Lives Matter, All Lives Matter. Well, cops’ lives matter, too,” Hickman said Saturday.
Hickman’s comments have led to debates on the nature of the Black Lives Matter Movement across cable news with liberals purposefully ignoring calls for violence by the movement (the same liberals who go out of their way to try to portray the right-wing as violent) and conservatives rushing to judge every person who has spoken out about police brutality in the black community.
Instead of arguing over whether or not the rhetoric coming from BLM and their allies led to the murder of Deputy Darren Goforth, all one has to do is listen to the shocking statements made by a member of the New Black Panther Party at a protest over the death of Sandra Bland in front of the Waller County jail.
The comments, caught on camera during a Houston Chronicle report, paint a crystal clear picture and, sadly, it looks like Shannon Miles actually followed through with the call for violence. Take note that the Chronicle literally buried the comments which were only brought to light after an investigation by Breitbart News.
In the video a member of the New Black Panther Party is heard yelling at police, “You think we’re not pissed off a bunch about y’all killing our sisters? You think it’s okay? [We’re] the wrong n***ers to mess with. You’re gonna stop doing what you’re doing, or we will start creeping up on you in the darkness.”
Two weeks later, a little over 30 miles away from the protest Miles came “creeping up” on a sheriff deputy before unloading over a dozen rounds into the officer.
Simply said, there is no debate. Black Lives Matter and their allies in the New Black Panther Party have absolutely called for violence and a criminal has taken their calls to heart by murdering a police officer in “the darkness.”
Note: A video taken by Breitbart News at the same New Black Panther Party protest also documents their attacks on all police and open call for violence. Can you imagine if even one Tea Party member said anything close to this?
