Hospital and local authorities turned the strange case of food poisoning into a media circus

TAMPA, FLORIDA (INTELLIHUB) — A Wal-Mart store was recently forced to turn over all of the bottom round steak that was on their shelves, after a family visited the hospital, complaining of hallucinations after eating one of the steaks.
Ronnie Morales, 24, his girlfriend Jessica Rosado, 31, and her 7-year-old and 6-year-old daughters, went to the hospital immediately upon experiencing the symptoms.
To make matters even worse, the hospital handled the situation very irresponsibly, performing unneeded procedures on various members of the family, making their situation even more traumatizing.
The mother was even forced to induce labor, creating a traumatizing experience for both her and her child. Meanwhile, her other children were given tracheal intubations.
Initial tests apparently revealed that the steak was tainted with LSD, and if this is in fact the case, the hospital should have just given the family a safe place to come down, instead of performing traumatizing procedures on them when they were in an altered state of consciousness.
The meat was purchased at the Walmart at 1501 N. Dale Mabry Highway, and the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office is testing all of the steak that the store turned over, police added.
“Like everyone else in the community, we are deeply disturbed about this situation and are taking it very seriously,” Walmart spokesperson Dianna Gee said in a statement. “We want answers and we’re committed to working with officials to get to the bottom of this.”
The LSD explanation seems questionable, many sources reported that the police are waiting on toxicology screenings from the family to confirm if they were in fact under the influence of LSD. However, average toxicology tests can not detect LSD, extremely complex and expensive tests are needed to detect this drug, and it is unlikely that these tests were ran.
The entire family was released from the hospital two days later in normal condition.
