West Coast hit by 6.3 magnitude quake; foreshock to ‘big one’?

Could the recent swarm activity and Wednesday's 6.3 magnitude earthquake be a foreshock to a major event?

A 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck 188 miles off of the shore of the Oregon Coast on Wednesday prompting fears the ‘big one’ is coming soon, reports say.

The rather large 6-mile deep shaker came after the recent uptick in swarm activity just off of the west coast of the state where seismic sensors have detected hundreds of earthquakes this week.

Could the recent swarm activity and Wednesday’s 6.3 magnitude earthquake be a foreshock to a major event either in the Cascadia region or in California in the near future?
