Woman found dead in trash compactor at Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin’s old apartment building

The coroner is working to find the cause of death for a 48-year-old woman whose body was found inside a trash compactor


MANHATTAN (INTELLIHUB) — A woman was found dead inside a trash compactor in a luxury apartment building which disgraced former U.S. representative Anthony Weiner and wife Huma Abedin once lived.

Police were called to the apartment at 1 Irving Place in Union Square around 5 p.m. after a building maintenance man discovered the 48-year-old woman’s body stuffed into the mechanical compactor.

The medical examiner is currently working on determining the victim’s cause of death which officials say will later be made public.

According to NBC 4 New York, the victim’s purse was found nearby but no information on whether a robbery occurred was offered.

The convicted sexter and his wife lived in the building for 16 years before it was listed for sale in May of 2017 on the very day Weiner was sentence to prison for sending nude pics to a minor.
